What is the Georgia Pediatric Program?
GAPP (Georgia Pediatric Program) is a Medicaid program that provides services to medically fragile children ages 0-21 at no cost to the family. Determination is based on the child’s medical needs. Families who are eligible for Medicaid can apply for GAPP at any time.
What is Katie Beckett?
Katie Beckett Waiver is a Medicaid eligibility category for children under age 18 who do not meet Medicaid eligibility. The Katie Beckett Waiver removes the family’s income out of the picture and bases decision solely on child’s needs. If the child qualifies for the Katie Beckett Waiver, the child is deemed eligible for Medicaid services.
